[VTP(VLAN Trunking Protocol)]

> Operation Mode : Server, Client, Transparent

1) Server : VLAN 생성, 수정, 삭제 모두 가능(다른 스위치들(Client)에게 VLAN 정보를 제공)

2) Client : VLAN 생성, 수정, 삭제 모두 불가능(다른 스위치들(Client)에게 VLAN 정보를 전달/중계)

3) Transparent : 자신의 VLAN 생성, 수정, 삭제 모두 가능(다른 스위치들(Client)에게 VLAN 정보를 제공하지 않음/중계)

[Server]

vtp 도메인 이름 설정

Switch(config-if)#vtp domain cisco

Changing VTP domain name from NULL to cisco

 

vtp 패스워드 설정

Switch(config)#vtp password 1234

Setting device VLAN database password to 1234

 

[Client]

기본 서버모드에서 클라이언트모드로 변경

Switch(config)#vtp mode client

Setting device to VTP CLIENT mode.

 

도메인 이름 동일해야함

Switch(config)#vtp domain cisco

Domain name already set to cisco.

 

패스워드 동일해야함

Switch(config)#vtp password 1234

Password already set to 1234

 

[Transparent]

기본서버모드에서 트랜스모드로 변경

Switch(config)#vtp mode transparent

Setting device to VTP TRANSPARENT mode.

 

도메인 이름 동일해야함

Switch(config)#vtp domain cisco

Domain name already set to cisco.

 

패스워드 동일해야함

Switch(config)#vtp password 1234

Password already set to 1234
